How Can I Help?

Whether you are daunted by the idea of having a new website built from scratch, or you’ve already got your site up and running, but you feel it’s still not really functioning as efficiently as you hoped it might, then I can help.
You know you need a website, but often designers and coders will do what you ask of them although you yourself are not exactly sure that you’re asking for the best things.

  • Are you selecting a new design according to your personal taste, or are you choosing the best design for your business?
  • Are you pointing your designer or developer in the right direction to build the website you need?
  • Have you crafted the titles and content in a way that makes your site easy to use or easy to be found by search engines?
  • Does your navigation draw visitors in, or lose them before they’ve got to know you?

I offer help to suit your way of working. Contact me for:

  • creating an initial plan for your website
  • (re-)structuring content and navigation to get your message across effectively
  • a website inspection; I’ll create a plan to make your website really work
  • search engine optimisation in plain English
  • social media integration; what it is and why you need it.

You decide how much you want to tackle and when. Take it step by step within your own timeframe. Contact me to see how we can get your website working wonderfully.

I offer a free initial 15 minute consultation after having looked at your website, if you have one. In this time we can see whether we both feel we can work together. We will discuss the goals for your website and how these can be achieved.

I am happy to work on an ad-hoc hourly basis as a consultant or I have packages for larger projects.

A one-off, one hour website consultation on Skype (or similar) will include coaching on the most important and profitable items to edit on your site, a recording of the call and a summary of the website plan as discussed, sent as a document afterwards. Before the call I will send you questions to answer about your business, your goals and your market so that as soon as we get on the call, we can start creating benefit for you. You will come away with a new way of thinking about your website and a new lease of energy for working on it including many new ideas for changes (often easy changes) that you can implement, in order to make your site much more effective.
Cost: $397(US)

However, often people find that they need further sessions after this to continue the work and to dig deeper into making the site sing out to their customers. A set of 3 consecutive sessions (either weekly, two-weekly or monthly, as necessary) has a reduction of 10%, to $1070(US). During these sessions you will learn how visitors use websites and how to make pathways through your site, creating confidence in you as the website owner and leading your ideal customers into buying from you.

These sessions are personalised for you, your business and your site. I won’t be giving you generic documents or lists which don’t really apply to you.

Larger Projects

My passion is creating content strategies for larger websites, particularly tackling websites where the site seems to have grown out of control or where the navigation no longer serves its purpose and doesn’t lead the website visitor to information quickly enough.

I also work with various wonderful designers and coders, so if you prefer to have your website built from scratch I can select the right craftsmen for the job and make sure that your site matches your business needs.
Larger projects are quoted for on a project-by-project basis.

What others say

Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce

“From our initial meeting with Inga it was clear that she truly understands what makes websites work – both from a user’s perspective and in ensuring that any site meets the needs and objectives of the organisation that it represents. She skillfully bridges that gap between what you think you’d like from a website and what you really need to make it effective. Throughout our project she brought new ideas to the table and I am confident that, without Inga’s commitment and expertise, it would not have resulted in the site we have today.”

Old Bridge Wine Shop – Winner: Business Website of the Year 2011 (Hunts Post)

“Inga has been my main point of contact with Granite5 during the creation of our wine shop website and our current project, the revised hotel website. I would go so far as to say that, whilst she is not the designer or the client, Inga’s influence over the site is as strong as anyone’s. Not only does she interpret my requests intelligently and brief the designer accurately, she also adds her own suggestions and solutions, always mindful of everyone else’s priorities and concerns. She has been more than just a project manager for us, she has provided much of the creativity and energy behind that project.”

Revelare

Hi, my name is Heidi and I set up a Boutique 18 months ago. Inga advised me to get on board with Social Media. “Embrace it!” she said. Um, not sure. However, I had a website to design and get online. Inga said: “Get your SEO in place, use Google analytics, find the key words, see what people are searching for.” Um, not sure, but Inga knows, you know. She’s right.
Now I have a select and active following on Facebook and Twitter, the website is my digital shop window which I dress as I would the physical shop window. I talk to my digital customers as I would my in-person customers and they talk back to me! Prospective clients find me on Google, quickly, and that’s not all. When you start out, you position yourself to face your prospective customers. What you also do, is measure up to your competitors and offer an insight to prospective alliances and suppliers.
Inga’s work for me on SEO gave me a window I never dreamt would be open to my little independent Boutique and that’s a phone call from Vogue! They called because they found my shop on Google, they liked what they saw when they looked in my digital shop window and made the call. Today I had another message via Facebook from a local magazine who’d like to include my little shop in their next issue. Thank you Inga!
